PAIR OF CANBDLESTICKS ATTRIBUTED TO CLAUDE GALLE

Claude Galle (1759-1815)
Pair of candlesticks.
Gilt bronze.
Empire period.

This pair of candlesticks shows a claw foot resting on a base with palmettes firezes. The fluted shaft bears antique masks and the binet is similar to the one on a pair of candlesticks delivered by Claude Galle in 1807 to the palace of Fontainebleau.
